We welcomed Pastor Paul H Okere and his wife Mother Youngor Okere and their con
gregation into our Lion and Eagle family on September 5, 2009.
Paul is the senior pastor of Faith Assembly Outreach Ministries of Gardnersville, Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. He has a Bachelor Degree in Theology and an AA Degree in Business Administration.
The Republic of Liberia is situated on the west coast of Africa and is bordered by Sierra Leone, Guinea and the Ivory Coast. Monrovia is the nation’s capital having been named after James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States. The country has a unique connection with America. Paul graciously submitted to a searching and detailed application process. He writes: “We desire your apostolic coverage and are ready to work with your ministry, not because of material things or money, but because we know that God has led us to you.”
The ministries of the church include:
· discipleship
· house to house evangelism,
· church planting
· an orphanage… the second orphanage within the Lion and Eagle family, the other being situated in Malawi.
· caring for less fortunate children, the poorest of the poor, street girls and for the abandoned sick in hospital
· counseling and prayer ministry for sexually and ritually abused children and AIDS sufferers.
· providing basic education and occupational skills
· training pastors and catering for pastors’ basic needs
Their vision is to reach their nation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every available means and with love, boldness, zeal and dedication.
Their church has experienced miracles and they are praising God for the testimonies.
