Eric                                                           

 

 

 

Eric is British and a family lawyer and mediator by background. He was saved and baptised in the Holy Spirit at the age of 30. His life and career in England were then totally transformed. God’s power manifested in his life and in his law practice. Eric saw clients set free from such things as alcoholism, pornography and suicidal depression, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Cases that seemed impossible were turned around by God’s intervention.

 

God then called him to take times away from his law firm to go to the north of India, to preach and teach in Gospel crusades and believers' conventions, and to minister in healing and deliverance. He has been many times to India and miracles, signs and wonders have always accompanied his preaching of the Word of God. His work in India was featured on the God TV channel in England in a program entitled "A Man with a Mission."

 

He has also ministered on mainland Europe and in North and South America.

 

Eric is able by God’s grace to preach and teach from the Bible with a simplicity that can be readily grasped and understood by his hearers and many have come to Christ through his ministry. Some say God has graced him with exceptional insight into the Word of God.

 

Jesus said a tree is known by its fruit and Eric's ministry has been fruitful. In 2005, God called him out of his law firm to start Lion and Eagle Ministries International.

LaVonne

 

 

  

LaVonne is American. Church and ministry were always a part of LaVonne’s life. Her father was a pastor. Attending with her parents the meetings of some of the great healing evangelists and ministers of faith of America of the 50's and 60's, she experienced the gifts of the Spirit and witnessed signs, wonders and miracles first-hand, as a common occurrence. Saved at the age of 8, and filled with the Holy Spirit at 11, she desired from her childhood that God would use her in the same way.

 

In 1996 she was invited to serve on the board of Holiday for Women, a women's ministry catering to women in ministry. In 1998 she became a member of Aglow International and was invited to serve on her local board. She was soon being asked to minister in Aglow meetings both in her home state of Ohio and other states.

 

God was also using her outside of Aglow to speak in revivals, retreats and conferences in America and in Europe.

  

Today LaVonne brings words of knowledge, wisdom and prophecy, and has a prophetic seer anointing. She is used in miraculous healings. She is also blessed with a wonderful voice and ministers in song.

“Not just a marriage”                            

 

Eric and LaVonne married on March 7, 2005 in Columbus, Ohio having met eighteen months earlier in Washington DC at a Pastoral Congressional Prayer Conference, praying over Capitol Hill.

 

God arranged for Eric to be on the team that was organizing the conference! Just think of it! This was a conference for Americans to pray for their President and their nation in the heart of their nation's capital, privileged to go inside and to use government buildings, offices and committee rooms on Capitol Hill, to pray with Senators and Members of the House of Representatives, to be addressed by the Senate Chaplain (pictured right), and by White House staff inside the White House, and even to be addressed by the Israeli Press Secretary inside the Israeli Embassy! A particular thrill for Eric was praying in the United States Supreme Court. There were only about 30 conference delegates, a "select few" indeed, and one of them by God's design was Eric Bardell, British, a UK resident, the only non-American delegate, and a member of the organizing team! Why he was there, he did not know; but he knew God wanted him there.

 

LaVonne had been to Washington already twice that year but she knew by the Spirit that God was calling her back to her nation's capital for a third time, without understanding how or why. Then she received an invitation to this conference.

 

God clearly wanted Eric and LaVonne to meet! And the day after their wedding, the speaker at an Aglow International meeting called them out and prophesied: "This is not just a marriage; this is a ministry!" This was a wonderful confirmation of what they already knew to be true, for God had surely brought them together. The speaker and another prophetess at this meeting prophesied much more.. but that's all we'll say about that for now! The test of all true prophecy is in its coming to pass; so we will just have to wait and see! What is clear is that LaVonne and Eric have no agenda for their lives but God's agenda.

 

UK and USA

LaVonne and Eric began their life and ministry together in England. Then God moved them to Columbus, Ohio, during 2007, the 400th anniversary year of America’s birth at Jamestown, the first English settlement.

And shortly before their move to America, He led them to the last church in England of the first vicar of Jamestown. Praying and interceding for America inside that country church, unchanged since 1607, was for Eric and LaVonne an awesome experience.    

 LaVonne and Eric feel that their ministry has a part to play in Britain and America in God’s end-time purposes. God gave them the lion and the eagle for their ministry title, which are of course national symbols of Britain and America as well as powerful biblical symbols.  

A special bond obviously exists between America and the United Kingdom, historically, culturally and spiritually; and it seems God is wanting both countries to remember and revive their Christian foundation and heritage in Jesus Christ, rather than appear to be forsaking Him in a downward spiral of increasing secularism and materialism, and social and moral decline. 

Two years later, God revealed that He was calling them both to America and instructed them to prepare their home in England for sale! It sold in just three days! The legal formalities were concluded so fast and so smoothly that the professionals were really amazed. “It just doesn’t happen like this!” said the estate agent (realtor). But oh yes it does! It does when God’s in it! Everything went so smoothly with the move across the Atlantic that it was as if God “parted the waters”. A house they had bought in Columbus earlier as an investment became their home. God had been way ahead, preparing their way. Eric received a green card in just six months.

Now they live by faith and seek God daily to know His will for them in America.  However, it's clear that their ministry is not limited to just the USA and Great Britain. They are called to all nations.. to preach and minister the Gospel of Christ and raise up men and women of God "from every nation, tribe and tongue".

They were recognised internationally as apostle and prophet in Brazil in 2006; and God confirmed this in America through various prophecies in 2007
